Auto or fixed media player preference and background player launch

Yeah that's pretty annoying. Especially because when it switches to Spotify it going into portrait mode. There should be an option to have a default music player

Not a Pixel user, but I'd go check whether are any conflicts with Pixel Settings (routines etc) and Standby Setting In Samsung Galaxy I had to setup routines in my phone to accomplish what I was looking for and overide some weir behavior happening when set it up within Standby I hope this helps
