Autohide music controls option
In the music player options menu. Have an toggle to autohide media controls.

This is still the only option I feel I really want!
Closing this as a duplicate — it overlaps with the existing request about player controls fading out when idle. The mini player already collapses/shrinks when idle. Thanks for the suggestion!
