Charging wattage appears lower than the actual charging speed
I am using the StandBy app on a Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra with a PITAKA Qi2 Ready case and a Qi2 fast wireless charger. The phone correctly recognizes the charger as a “Fast wireless charger.” At 78% battery, the phone estimated approximately 22 minutes to reach 95%, but the StandBy app displayed an average charging power of only around 4W.Could you please clarify how the app calculates the displayed charging wattage?Does it show the charger’s input power, the wireless power received by the phone, or the net power entering the battery? Is the value calculated using Android BatteryManager data such as CURRENT_NOW or CURRENT_AVERAGE?Does the displayed value exclude power consumed by the screen, the StandBy app, and other background processes? Is it possible for the app to significantly underreport charging power on the Galaxy S25 Ultra?Based on the phone’s estimated charging time, the effective battery-charging rate appears to be considerably higher than 4W.
