Aleks Levet, no the current smooth seconds animation option still starts and stops the second hand as it goes around. Most clocks with a smooth second hand run it at a continuous speed all the way around the clock, like in the video I linked.
Jake Mas That's strange , on my tablet it sp8ns at a constant speed all the way around... Maybe your phone is slow? Idk. Maybe share a video screenshot of what you are experiencing?
Aleks Levet, here this is what it looks like for me. Screen is running at 120hz. Pixel8. Not exactly what a smooth second hand should look like. Is this what yours looks like?
Jake Mas indeed, that's not normal mine does run smoothly... Have you tried in 60hz mode? Maybe it is not compatible with high frame rate displays...
Aleks Levet. That is so strange. What refresh rate are you running? I am running at 120hz most of the time. Maybe somehow the smooth seconds hand is expecting 60hz. That being said, I reduced my screen refresh down to 60, restarted, and the issue still persisted.
Jake Mas my tablet is 60hz. Have you tried 60hz, force stop app, clear cache, then restart the app?
